Continuing Education Committee

Requesting chair and 10 to 15 people (1 hour per month)

  • Conduct education interest assessment at least every 2 years
  • Plan education meetings
    • Find speakers for topics of interest
    • Arrange location and serve as RSVP
    • Follow up with speaker and meeting details
    • Apply to AADE for continuing education contact hours when appropriate
  • Plan Annual Meeting (all day event)
    • Identify theme
    • Recruit speakers
    • Arrange for venue, food, A/V needs
    • Obtain necessary information from speakers to satisfy CE requirements
    • Apply to AADE for continuing education contact hours
    • Recruit vendor sponsors to hold booths
    • Conduct evaluation of event and share results with board
    • Manage list of attendees (receive checks, create list of registrants)
    • Sign registrants in, handle issues on the day of the event
  • Develop and maintain a list of media and vendor contacts
