Continuing Education Committee
Requesting chair and 10 to 15 people (1 hour per month)
- Conduct education interest assessment at least every 2 years
- Plan education meetings
- Find speakers for topics of interest
- Arrange location and serve as RSVP
- Follow up with speaker and meeting details
- Apply to AADE for continuing education contact hours when appropriate
- Plan Annual Meeting (all day event)
- Identify theme
- Recruit speakers
- Arrange for venue, food, A/V needs
- Obtain necessary information from speakers to satisfy CE requirements
- Apply to AADE for continuing education contact hours
- Recruit vendor sponsors to hold booths
- Conduct evaluation of event and share results with board
- Manage list of attendees (receive checks, create list of registrants)
- Sign registrants in, handle issues on the day of the event
- Develop and maintain a list of media and vendor contacts
